The Jake Jackson Museum has a huge collection of items from the days of old, a truly educational experience for all who visit. If you prefer water recreation then Trinity County has lots of water locations to keep you busy. Trinity Lake is the largest body of water in Trinity county covering 16,000 surface acres and 145 miles of shoreline, but Trinity Lake isn't the only source of water recreation in Trinity County. The Trinity River, Lewiston Lake, Ruth Lake, and many streams also provide visitors with fishing, swimming and white water rafting. If you prefer water recreation for your vacation then Trinity County will surely provide.

If you like history, then Trinity County and Weaverville have lots to offer. The Old West was home to Weaverville with saloons, gunfights and even a bank robbery by the notorious Black Bart a.k.a. Charles E. Boles. The safe that he robbed is still displayed in a building that is now a restaurant as a reminder of Weaverville's Old West heritage. Trinity County is full of historical locations and attractions, along with logging and timber heritage which is displayed at the Jake Jackson Museum for you and your family to enjoy.
